もともと科学者だったCarsten Hollerが手がけた展覧会。
ミュージアムの中に滑り台やらメリーゴーランドやらがあったり、
景色が上下逆になるゴーグルをつけたりする参加型ショー。
子ども達が凄い興奮していて、ここはディズニーランドか、と思わせるほど。
彼は参加型の作品を使って、観覧者に生活の中の発見をうったえている。

良い年だけど、少女のように楽しめた。だけどこの展覧会の仕方はかなり賛否両論。ミュージアムと、プレーグラウンドの合体は、これから何を生めるのだろう。ミュージアムの観念を壊す、改革的な展覧会。

モマでのDe Kooning ショー。
４年もかけて展覧会を練ったそう。
De Kooning の表現方法は時代によって変わっていて、subjectも全然違う。
彼の絵を通しての表現方法が絶妙な配置で展示されていて、
チーフキュレーター、John Elderfieldは天才だな。

私はやっぱり１９４５年あたりのwomenの作品が一番好きだな。

Cattelanのグッゲンハイムショー。
いろんな物が上からぶら下がってる。

視覚的にも意味合い的にも迫力満点なこのショーは、
カソリックの聖地、イタリアで育った彼の、ポープに対する思いとか、政治に対する思いとかが一挙につまった彼の全作品。
彼こそcontemporary artの象徴かな、とも思う。

グッゲンハイムの構造をうまく使ったショーだと思う。

いつ見ても凄い迫力、リチャードセラのスカラプチャー。
中に入ると迷路のようでちょっと怖い。でもなんだかnyの街を忘れられて、いい気分になる。どこかグランドキャニオンにでもタイムスリップしたよう。
あんなに大きなガゴシアンが小さく見えたのはちょっとおもしろかった。
ちょっと残念だったのは、ビーコンミュージアムのように、天井が高くないからちょっとだけスカラプチャーが窮屈に見えた。

ダイチプロジェクトが帰って来た！と私はギャラリーに入った瞬間ダイチに初めて行った時の衝撃を感じた。３７分間の小さいギャラリーの中のパフォーマンス。一人が自転車をこぎ、その電動力を利用してサウナが動く。サウナの中の一人は汗をかき、その汗がチューブを伝わって実験室に送られる。その汗がエネルギーに代わり、それが遥か遠い国、アフリカサバンナに送られる。この最後の結末、笑っちゃうほどおかしい。そして演じている俳優達、この人達どこから連れて来たの？っていうくらい普通のおじさんおばさん。ああ、久しぶりに笑った。

Deith project is coming back! it reminds of me going to the Deith Project at the first time. Artists Mika Rottenberg and Jon Kessler will collaborate to present SEVEN, a performance and installation that stretches from the urban landscape of New York to the savannahs of Africa. Mixing Kessler’s kinetic sculptures with Rottenberg’s absurdist videos, SEVEN will collapse film time and real time to create an intricate laboratory that channels body fluids and colors into a spectacle on the African savannah. In New York, a “Chakra Juicer” will capture sweat from seven performers engaging in ritualistic athletic activity. where are these actresses/actors coming from? They are all coming from the street? This performance is fun to watch.

Jin-Japanese drama

I'm addicted to this Japanese drama "Jin" I watched all the episo in 2 days!
I kinda had headache in the end. Oh well what can I do?
I should admit this is a little bit cheesy drama which evokes your sincerity and makes u cry. I cried so many times indeed. What a good audience.
I love the story that makes me think about the past. Without my ancestor, Im not here breathing fresh air. I have to remember what people did for me. Even if something is not visible and tangible, I'm always supported by someone. I have to have a strong spirit as a woman.

If this drama is really popular in Japan, I would like to go back to Japan.
People now feel we should learn something from the past and move on for tomorrow.

My favorite Gallery, Deitch project's previous directors opened the new gallery called The Hole. They collaborated with Alife and had an opening last Thursday.

The idea of this show was really nice. There was a vendor machine with artists artworks.
I was going to get the one which is a date with Ryan Mcginness for $10 but the lady before me took it! hmmmm! ooo!

I walked around Chelsea today and stopped by my favorite bookstore, Printed Matter.
I found this free paper called Megawords.
I'm not a man of letters so I feel lazy whenever I get a book with a lot of words.
This one only includes pictures and I loved this magazine :)

I had a chance to talk with the gallery owner, Yoshii Hiromi. I read his book about a year ago and I was impressed by what he thinks about art business in Japan.
It was a great opportunity for me to talk with the art professional.

He introduced me to the art collector, Miyatsu Daisuke. I read his book after I met him.
I was pretty surprised that there is one who is really really into art and enjoy buying art pieces.

I felt fulfilled with this trip!

とってもアンラッキーな日になってしまった今日。

最近忙しすぎて目の下のけいれんが止まらない。
でも課題やんなきゃで今日も夜学校に行った。
最近は図書館の常連組。
２４時間あいてんだもん。信じられない。

帰りスクールバスに乗ったんだけど、まったく行き先の違うバスにのってしまい、
グリニッチビレッジまで行くはめに。
夜もう１１時だよ、、、
結局一周して学校にもう一回帰って来て、歩いて帰った。

帰ってる途中iPodの日本の曲を聞きながら（テーマお母さん。なんて涙のそそるチョイス）
こっそり泣いた。

そしたらおもいっきり転んだ。

みんなが話しかけてくれて、大丈夫？って聞かれたけど
ほっといて欲しかった。
そしてかずさんからもらったイヤホンが転んだ瞬間壊れた。
もう涙をそそる曲は聴けなかった。

帰って来たらひざから血がいっぱい出てた。
なんか手のひらも痛いし、おしりもいたい。

自分が忙しくしたくて忙しくしてるんだけど、
自分が勉強したくて勉強させてもらってるんだけど、
自分が大好きな人達と会いたくて会ってるんだけど、
自分がやりたくてやってるんだけど

今日は辛い。

泣き虫な日だ。

そんな日もあるさ。

でもやっぱりそばにいて、ハグしてもらいたいと思う。

I'm sorry for this bad quality picture...

Today was my best day ever. To be honest, I was not that into Nara Yoshitomo's work before but his presentation woke me up from my confusing period. He is not a normal passionate artist who I met in nyc. Whenever I meet an artist in nyc, I always feel that they're crazy about becoming famous, creating networks, and most importantly, money. I'm sure it's really imporatant to make a life expense, but his lecture/talk made my heart warm and broke ice in my heart. He showed some pictures of his hometown, thailand (where he traveled), and even cats (his favorite animal). They're completely unrelated to his artworks but his pictures and his talk let us know what kind of person he is. He showed the pic of exhibition where kids had to wear an animal costume and go around the museum. It was a part of his project and kids needed to crawl like an animal while they're in the museum. This picture made me excited since i really want to play with kids through art. Playing with Art has not only educationl component but also recreational quality.

During the presentation, I laughed a lot because of his unique word choice but I also wanted to cry at some point. Maybe because the pictures of Japan made me miss my hometown.

I do really appreciate that I could listen to his lecture.
I also want to thank him for not being contaminated by dirty art world.

Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908–2004) is one of the most original, accomplished, influential, and beloved figures in the history of photography. His inventive work of the early 1930s helped define the creative potential of modern photography, and his uncanny ability to capture life on the run made his work synonymous with “the decisive moment”—the title of his first major book. After World War II (most of which he spent as a prisoner of war) and his first museum show (at MoMA in 1947), he joined Robert Capa and others in founding the Magnum photo agency, which enabled photojournalists to reach a broad audience through magazines such as Life while retaining control over their work. In the decade following the war, Cartier-Bresson produced major bodies of photographic reportage on India and Indonesia at the time of independence, China during the revolution, the Soviet Union after Stalin’s death, the United States during the postwar boom, and Europe as its old cultures confronted modern realities.
